MIAMI, Fla.- A South Florida man is facing murder and other charges following the fatal shooting of a wheelchair-bound man begging for change along a busy roadway.

Miami-Dade County police say 27-year-old Rodney Louis shot the victim multiple times Tuesday along on Interstate 95 ramp and fled in a Chevrolet Malibu. Officers soon spotted the car, which led them on a high-speed I-95 chase before the vehicle crashed.

Louis was being held Wednesday without bail on charges of first-degree murder, grand theft and fleeing police. A handgun believed used in the shooting found in Louis' car turned out to be stolen.

No motive was given for the crime. Louis declined to speak with investigators and no attorney was listed for him.

The 58-year-old victim's name has not yet been made public.
