BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- Today is the last day to request an absentee ballot by mail. The day comes as Governor Rick Scott visits Southwest Florida, to campaign for re-election.

Florida Governor Rick Scott, who is looking to be re-elected, will be in Bonita Springs this afternoon. The campaign stop is part of Governor Scott's "Let's Keep Florida Moving" tour.

He will be at the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, discussing investments in transportation around 2:00 p.m.  

Early voting in Lee and Collier counties ends this Saturday, the 23rd. There are two State Representative primary races and two county commission races in Lee County.

Today is the last day you can request a mail-in ballot.

WINK News is getting access to early voting numbers from Collier County, where about 3,500 people have cast their vote ahead of the actual primary, and about 3,200 have in Lee County.
