Ida Baker set a program record for wins last year, finishing 9-2. They went to the playoffs for just the second time in school history.

Alabama Coach Nick Saban once said that the biggest threat to successful teams is complacency, and Ida Baker Head Coach Brian Conn agrees.

"Not being complacent. Trying to come back and be district champs, that's our goal that we've set for ourselves," said Conn.

This year, the team's motto is "unfinished business".

"Our previous year, we were able to make it to the playoffs, but didn't get our district title," said Senior Quarterback Sage Atwood.

"We've still got business," said Senior Linebacker Zachary Yankovich,"and it's not done. We have to win this district championship."

The Bulldogs lose 21 seniors, but do return Quarterback Sage Atwood, who's starting for his third year under center.

Ida Baker starts the season August 29th against Island Coast.
