LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is hoping the public can help in finding the suspect responsible for the murder of 25-year-old Kyle Byrtus that happened in August 2013.

Byrtus' body was found in a field on Meadow Drive.

The Fort Myers High graduate, who was once the captain of the track team with a promising future, found himself involved with drugs. Byrtus sought treatment, but continued to struggle.

Although his body was found in Lehigh Acres, detectives say he was known to frequent the Pine Manor area. Shortly after his murder, posters were distributed throughout the community, in hopes that someone would come forward with information about his murder, or what may have led up to it.
