CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Lee County Domestic Animal Services is conducting an investigation involving a dog allegedly thrown from a late-model, dark blue BMW at the intersection of NE 24th Avenue and Pine Island Rd. on Aug. 4th.

The 10-month-old, white, female terrier mix was taken to Animal Services’ shelter where she was treated for an injury to her hind leg. She is now in foster care.

Anyone who recognizes this dog or has information regarding her owner is asked to call Animal Services at (239) 533-7387, ext. 2, or contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at (800) 780-TIPS. Anonymous complaints are accepted.

Donations may be made to the Animal Services’ Animal Care Trust Fund for the care and treatment of sick and injured animals and to assist with their adoption.
