LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Lee County Sheriff's deputies are investigating an armed home invasion that reportedly happened Friday on Elva Place.

The 69-year-old victim said two men posing as painters, wearing painters' masks, came to her door, asking if she needed work done to her kitchen. The victim allowed the suspects into her home.

That's when she said, one of the men lifted up his shirt, displaying a gun in his waistband, told her to sit on the couch and not move. She said he asked where the safe was, searched the residence and left empty-handed in a white Lincoln.

The victim described the suspects as being in their early 20s, and said that one with short hair and the other had dreads.

If you have any information, you are asked to call SWFL Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
