FORT MYERS -- Some hometown former professional and college athletes hosted flag football today. "Battle of the 239" put the athletes in the stands while other guys and gals took the field.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Ed Gant, hosted the event; some of his buddies were also there. Former Bucs running back, Earnest Graham, and University of Florida's Teddy Dupay attended the friendly competition. Gant says the 7-on-7 tournemnt is the first of many events he plans to put together.

"It's great. It's a good experience," Gant said. "I'm back at home, I'm giving back and all the kids came to play. It's, more so to me, it's more good that I can help someone else achieve their dreams like I achieved mine."

Proceeds from the tournament go to Fort Myers HIV foundation called ICAN.
