FORT MYERS, Fla.- The Fort Myers Police Department is aggressively seeking any tips or information that may lead to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for the homicide of Keith Jones that happened on June 19, 1997.

Jones was murdered in a hotel room at the Tides Motel, previously located at 2621 First Street.

“There may be individuals within the Fort Myers community that have information that can lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for this heinous crime. Mr. Jones was a beloved son and brother with a bright future. The Jones family deserves justice after these 17 long years, and we are asking for anyone with information to contact us immediately,” said Captain Duke Perry.

FMPD would like to remind everyone that a reward of up to $25,000 is available for anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the accused offender.
