COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- It was hard to find a dry spot in Collier County Monday, as most of the area was underwater.

"Unlike anything I've ever seen before."

WINK News was everywhere. The conditions were so dangerous at the Naples Municipal Airport, flights were re-routed to Southwest Florida International Airporrt. The airport tells me at least one roadway was underwater, along with taxiways.

A few blocks north of that, WINK News saw some of the worst flooding at the Coastland Center Mall on US 41 and Golden Gate Parkways. Cars were stuck and flooded for hours.

"We got a little drainage problem."

Including in Downtown Naples, where you can see the rising water swamped this car's tires. Near the mall only WINK News has video of a Florida Fish and Wildlife truck, stuck in a ditch, off Goodlette Frank Road.

In North Naples, a WINK News viewer sent this footage of a transformer sparking and on fire on Airport Pulling Road. Nearby businesses and homes lost power, including an assisted living facility.

In another spot off Airport Pulling, the driver of this truck said he saw sparks coming from power lines, swerved, then crashed into a ditch. It took an hour for a tow truck to free this vehicle.

People were looking for anyway to get around the flooded streets, including by paddleboard. This is a shot on Central Avenue near Downtown Naples.
