LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- A victim was held at gunpoint by two men and shots were fired near the intersection of Gregory Avenue and 27th Street SW around 1:30 a.m. Now, those armed suspects are still on the loose.

Lee County deputies said two black males, dressed in all black, approached the victim's vehicle as he was arriving home and demanded money and valuables from him at gunpoint.

During the robbery, shots were fired, the driver suffered an injury to the leg and was transported to Lehigh Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Neighbors told WINK News they want LCSO to step up patrols int he neighborhood. They claim to be so afraid of the crime in the area, that they are considering moving.
