CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - All Florida Power and Light customers in Port Charlotte have their power back after electricians fiXed frayed power lines in the area.
The power lines were damaged when a giant construction crane mysteriously tipped over, and toppled on them.
It happened around 1:30 P.M. Thursday at US 41 and Harbor Boulevard near Fawcett Memorial Hospital.
About 300 people were in the dark, but power was restored after a few hours.
WINK News was there as crews lifted the crane off those power lines.
Florida Power and Light crews worked throught the night to fix the damage to the power lines. The finished repairs around 1 A.M. Friday.
