Lee County, FL.- If you think there is no such thing as a free lunch, think again. WINK News found the best ways to hunt down a 'freebie.'

Kalyn Brooke, author of CreativeSavingsBlog.com, said from free products to free restaurant coupons there are dozens of ways to get a deal.

"There are a ton of websites that actually just post 20 to 30 times a day of deals and freebies," Brooke said. "You can get anything from free samples of laundry detergent to little packets of shampoo."

One of Brooke's favorite websites is Freebies4Mom. Consumer Reports also recommended Hunt4Freebies, FreeFlys and SweetFreeStuff.

Brooke recommended using a separate email to signup for the free deals to prevent your inbox from flooding. She also said you should never pay for shipping or other fees.

"If you have to give your credit card at all, don’t do it. It’s probably a scam."

Another way to get free deals is to sign up for birthday specials.

"Around your birthday month, you can get a ton of freebies but what you have to do is you have to sign up at least 30 days before your birthday," she said. "Anywhere from a free burger or free dessert, I even got a free full size mascara from Ulta."
