COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- "We one hundred percent no knowledge of any of this," said Alfie Oakes.

The owner of a Collier County business, radied Wednesday, tells WINK News he wants to get to the bottom of this investigation. According to the Department of Insurance, nearly 200 employees at Fruit Dynamics may have committed workers compensation fraud. Many of them accused of stealing identites to get a job.

"Never ever the first inkling that there was any people that were illegal posing as legal citizens."

Alfie Oakes took over the company just a few years ago.

"There was almost an epidemic of people trying to make claims as if they got hurt and things like that that the company reimburses the employee. And we've seriously reduced those claims," said Oakes.

Investigators said this case started last year when a Fruit Dynamics worker admitted to a lawyer he and other employees were using fake names. WINK News spoke to an employee who was on the job when the raid went down. He said deputies separated male and female workers.

"That's when they started calling everybody's name one by one. And they started taking finger prints of the guys that they were calling only."

Oake said the company was recently audited by its pay roll service.

"We're so confident that everything was 100 percent the way it was supposed to be we had no idea that there was any employees that were up to anything."
