LEE COUNTY, Fla. - For the sixth time, the North American Roller Hockey Championships are calling Germain Arena home.

The annual event brings in the best in-line hockey teams from all over the world, including 320 teams representing more than eight countries and around 12,000 players.

Roller hockey, is played like the sport of Ice hockey, except on a roller rink floor rather than ice. Teams are also generally smaller than ice hockey teams and played four on four with two periods instead of three.

The championships remain a big economic boost for Lee County, generating an estimated $7 million in direct economic impact.
