NAPLES, Fla. - On Saturday, July 12th you can help pay it forward and all you have to do is enjoy a cup of coffee.

Second Cup Coffee in Naples, is kicking off their new “caffe sosepso” initiative to benefit The Shelter for Abused Women & Children.

The way it works is simple, when patrons buy their first cup of brewed/iced coffee or tea they'll get a second one for free. Normally the cost of a re-fill is 75 cents but since it's free, patrons are encouraged to donate that money to the cause.

Inspired by a 100 year old tradition dating back to Naples, Italy, Second Cup is excited to launch this effort.

“We are delighted to bring an interpretation of this century-old tradition, which originated in Naples’ namesake city, to Second Cup Mercato,” said Steven Somerville, franchise owner.  “We look forward to offering free second cups to all our customers on Saturday, July 12th, and then asking our guests to consider putting the regular 75-cent refill charge aside for collection for The Shelter for Abused Women & Children.”

Patrons who make a donation in any denomination, will see 100% of the proceeds go to benefit The Shelter for Abused Women & Children.

Second Cup, Naples is the flagship United States store and is located at 9115 Strada Pl. at the Mercato Mall.
