FORT MYERS, Fla.- A 26-year-old Fort Myers man, who was charged in connection to a North Fort Myers homicide, will spend four years in prison.

Dexter Ward plead no contest this morning to being an accessory to a felony, dealing in stolen property, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Lee County Sheriff's deputies said Ward helped Vincent Yazvac after the death of Kurt Nusbaum. Instead of telling law enforcement about the crime, officers said Ward willingly helped Yazvac abandon Kurt Nusbaum's stolen SUV. The two also allegedly went on a shopping spree with Nusbaum's money using $400 of it for lap dances.

Ward also agreed to testify against Yazvac as part of his plea. If he violates the plea agreement, Ward could face 50 years in prison.
