LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Southbound I-75 has been reopened at mile marker 120, near Corkscrew Road, after a crash around 10:45 a.m.

A helicopter landed on the highway to take 17-year-old Elianni Fortunes to the hospital, who was listed in critical condition, after she was ejected from the vehicle. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Ismael Garcia, 20, was taken to North Collier Hospital with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

No one other vehicles were involved.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the two were involved in some sort of argument when the woman grabbed the wheel, sending the vehicle careening off the road and into the woods. Because of this, she will be charged for the crash.
