COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Victoria Wilcher officially has her new eye thanks to a prosthetist in Naples!
The 3-year-old Mississippi girl was attacked by pit bulls, and later gained national attention when her grandmother claimed she was asked to leave KFC because her appearance was upsetting other customers.
When Raymond Peters of the Center for Custom Prosthetics in Naples heard the story, he wanted to help. He offered to donate a prosthetic eye to the little girl, which would normally cost $1,500-$4,500. She'll need a new one very six months to a year because she is so young.
KFC investigated and couldn't find any evidence of this. However, Peters was still committed to making the prosthetic.
