CAPE CORAL, Fla.- The eastbound lanes of the Midpoint Bridge have reopened after a five-vehicle crash.

According to Lee County Sheriff's deputies, it happened around 7:45 a.m., just about a half-mile east of the toll booth, near the intersection of Colonial and McGregor boulevards.

A motorcycle was involved in the crash.

Some of the vehicles sustained extreme damage. Glass shattered as far as the westbound lanes and westbound shoulder of the bridge.

Witnesses said people were taken to the hospital, and we're working to determine their conditions.
