LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying an oddly dressed man who charged up more than $800 in fraudulent purchases with credit cards stolen just minutes before from a local park.

According to detectives, the victim left her purse in a locked car at Buckingham Park on Buckingham Road shortly after 5:00 p.m. on June 29th. While at the park playing with her daughter, someone smashed through the passenger side window and grabbed the victim’s purse, which contained credit cards and personal identification. Within minutes, images of a black male were captured on surveillance video using the cards at both Home Depot and Target, at the nearby Forum shopping center. The man charged up more than $500 in purchases at Home Depot and approximately $300 at Target. Both times, he was dropped off and picked up by a second unknown suspect, driving a dark Chrysler van.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
