LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.- Beat up and zip tied to a chair. A Lehigh Acres man was robbed inside of his home. It happened on Sixth Street West in Lehigh Acres, that's near Lee and Sunshine Boulevards. Now, deputies are still looking for two suspects.

"His hands had been bound with wire ties, his face was all beat up, and he said 'Scott, please call 911."

It was scary moments for a Lehigh Acres man who came home to find two robbers inside his home, waiting to attack and rob him.

"It was like he was in another world, he was in a daze, dazed and confused, it looked like he didn't even know where he was," said neighbor Scott Warren.

The victim tells police, when he entered his home, he was beaten up, had a sheet thrown over his head and bound to a chair. WINK News spoke to neighbors and they say they don't know why this man was the center of this violent attack.

"I don't know what they were looking for, I don't know if they knew him, but he freed himself and he came and got me."

It took the victim nearly 45 minutes to break loose from the zip ties, by that time, the suspects were long gone and with them cash and a cell phone.

"I hope they are caught first and foremost, but there is nothing to go on really except two masked guys in a room, took something they wanted and that's all they got."

Neighbors describe the scene on the Fourth of July as alarming and one that happens too often in this Lehigh Acres neighborhood

"There was crime scene tape, they brought the k-9 dogs to see if there was anyone in the area, they cordoned it off, it was just chaos."

Now, a neighbor tells WINK News a few days before the home invasion, he did notice a suspicious white car, parked by a canal just down the road.
