COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Stealing from her boss. That's what Nicole Dellafave is accused of doing. She told Naples Police she only worked at Sunshine Ace Hardware for the last 7 months. But investigators say that was enough time for her to steal four thousand dollars from the business.
According to an arrest repot obtained by WINK News, surveillance cameras spotted Dellafave several times, "...opening the cash register, counting money, and placing the money into a drawer below the actual register."
Then she allegedly created fake transactions, "...signing the electronic signature pad when prompted by the system in the 'customer signature' box."
On Wednesday, workers at the Downtown Naples store confronted Dellafave. Investigators said she confessed to the whole thing.
WINK News stopped by the home address she gave to police, a motel in North Fort Myers. No one answered the door. We did some digging and found Dellafave has prior arrests in Fort Myers for theft and a probation violation.
For this new series of robberies, "she was very remorseful for her actions."
Dellafave is out of jail on bond and facing a felony grand theft charge.
At this point, the hardware store is not commenting, telling WINK News it's an ongoing investigation.
