CAPE CORAL, Fla.- How would you like to swap jobs with somebody in a different country? That's exactly what some Cape Coral firefighters are getting the chance to do.

The park was filled with Cape Coral firefighters and city leaders, welcoming two Swiss firefighters to the city earlier today. Now, they're off to start their training while two Cape firefighters are in Switzerland as part of a TV show. Ladder trucks, waving the American flag, welcomed the two Swiss firefighters to town, along with their TV crew.

The Swiss reality show is called Job Swap.

Two Cape Coral firefighters are already in Switzerland to spend the week with their fire department, while Cape Coral welcomes Andreas Wegmann and Michael Schorr to the Cape crew.

City leaders say this is not only a great learning experience, but an economic opportunity.

"I expect that we'll have a lot of exposure and hopefully a lot of visitors as a result," said Mayor Marni Sawicki.

The fire chief says the Swiss firefighters will train with the team and sleep at the fire station, but they will not go inside a structure fire on a call.

"The fundamental core values are the same no matter where you are as a firefighter but there's different experiences, different techniques, different apparatus, equipment, they use different things so we're hoping they can bring that back and share it with us," said Cape Coral Fire Chief Don Cochran.

As for our firefighters over there, the chief says he spoke to them this morning and that they're doing great. They  even watched the World Cup yesterday.
