FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida SouthWestern State College has announced their new head baseball coach. Jamie Corr's first day will be July 17th.

Corr started his college baseball career as a utility player for Edison Community College in 1993.

Corr joins FSW after leading Lambert High School in Cumming, Georgia to the USA Today and Collegiate Baseball National Championship and winning the 6A State Championship with a 36-2 record. Corr was named the USA Today National Coach of the Year. Corr joins new Buccaneers Softball Coach Robert Iamurri, who also was bestowed the honor of being named national coach of the year.

Corr opened the program at Lambert High School in 2009 and built the baseball team into a state power house, quickly bringing national credibility to the program. Prior to Lambert, he was the Head Coach at South Forsyth High in Cumming, GA where he led the team to a #1 ranking in the state and was the 5A State Runner-up. Corr has collegiate coaching experience at Darton College, in Albany, Georgia; Augusta State University and Valdosta State University.
