COLLIER COUNTY, Fl. - A Naples man has been hunting for gold along Southwest Florida beaches for 20 years. You may have seen him searching up and down the coast in Marco Island or Naples.

Paul Rodinsky has gold fever. "Well there is such a thing. Once you find your first piece of gold you can't move your arm fast enough, you can't stay in the water enough hours, it's great."

You can find him neck deep in the ocean searching for lost treasure. "If it's a silver ring and they got married with it it's life or death to them. I know how it's feels. Have you lost a piece of jewelry? You know how you feel!"

Rodinsky uses an underwater detector to find priceless items lost by beachgoers. He's able to find things by different tones metals make in his headphones.

Within a matter of minutes, Rodinsky was able to find a gold earring. He tells WINK News it's priceless when people contact him and he's able to find their lost treasure. "It makes you feel good when you hand it back though, to see their faces, they just don't believe it."

Rodinsky said his real passion is to try and find a sponsor so he and a group of guys can go to different islands to find treasures.
