COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- "I was sleeping right here next to the door that they walked by."

Colten Marcum said he had no idea his home was being robbed Monday night. That's because as the crime unfolded, he was tucked away asleep in his bed.

"And you didn't hear anything? Nothing."

He said the back door was unlocked. But after years of vacationing in Naples he never thought his home would be targeted.

"As far as I know this has never happened before especially in this area."

According to deputies, someone walked into this home on 6th Avenue South, sometime between 1 and 8 in the morning, without waking anyone up and left with several items.

"It looked like they just came in, took a laptop and wallet and left and walked right by everything else."

Marcum said this is good reminder for everyone to be on high alert and always lock your doors, even when you're inside..

"I'm not really worried they'll come back. I mean I'm definitely locking every door I possibly can and not showing everything I have."
