NAPLES, Fla.- It seems like swordfish was on Courtney Gasper's menu.

Naples Police said the 52 year old swiped it last month, without paying, from Wynn's Market on US 41.

Watch in this surveillance video you'll see only on WINK News, detectives said Gasper wearing a bicycle helmet, clutches a black backpack tight to his chest, shoving his hand in to hide the stolen swordfish. Moments later, he's at a cash register paying for a drink but not the fish. He even uses his debit card. Now watch an employee walk behind him. Detectives said that worker recognized Gasper, claiming he stole fish in the past and decided to keep an eye on him.

Just when Gasper thought he was in the clear, detectives said that employee confronted him outside the store, convincing him to go back inside. He's in there for just seconds when he hears workers calling police. So he turns around, the worker follows, and Gasper takes off almost knocking a customer to the ground. Police said he took off in a pick-up truck.

WINK News went to Gasper's home but no one answered. A neighbor said she saw police there on Tuesday, before Gasper turned himself in.

"I don't know about people these days."

Gasper is out of jail, on bond, facing a charge of petit theft which is a misdemeanor.
