COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Collier County deputies hauled two men away to jail for allegedly attacking an East Naples man with a baseball bat during an attempted robbery Wednesday.

It unfolded as the victim was headed to work. Deputies said Vincent Lopez was riding his bike on Collier Boulevard when he noticed a suspicious van and the suspects walking toward him carrying the bat. They yelled "dinero," which is Spanish for money, pushed him off his bike and started pounding on him, looking for cash.

Deputies said a quick-thinking witness yelled at the suspects to stop, then called 911. The two men took off in a minivan without getting any money. Then a few hours later, deputies spotted the van 10 miles away in Golden Gate.

WINK News has exclusive video of the suspects in handcuffs before being taken away by deputies, and they weren't camera-shy.
