FORT MYERS, Fla.- A Fort Myers Police Officer has his job back after being fired for roughing up a suspect.

Officer Trevor Lehman returned to work on June 5th, and should be back on road patrol in a few weeks.

WINK News first showed you this video last year of Officer Lehman hitting a suspect in the head and pushing him up against a car.

Fort Myers Police Chief Doug Baker fired Lehman, accusing him of using excessive force. An arbitrator determined that there is no evidence showing that Lehman used excessive force.

The arbitrator also ruled that Lehman will receive compensation for the time he was away.
