COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is hosting a public meeting in Collier County to help shape the future of black bear management in south Florida on Thursday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Collier County IFAS Extension Office, located at 14700 Immokalee Road.

FWC staff will be available to answer questions and provide local bear-human conflict numbers. They will also provide information on how the public can get involved.

Additional meetings are being held at the following locations and times:

June 25, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunrise Civic Center Ballroom, 10610 West Oakland Park Blvd, Sunrise

July 1, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., East County Regional Library, 881 Gunnery Road, Lehigh Acres
