LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - Lee County deputies need your help finding two men they said robbed the Dollar General on Gretchen Avenue South.

Around 9:00 p.m., each man walked in with a gun, took money from the cashier and ran away.

"He stood over me with the gun, pointed to us, and I just told my grandchildren, don't worry, don't move, grand mamma got ya.  I could have taken a bullet for my grandchildren.  It didn't matter because they're mine and I love them."

This Grandmother spoke exclusively with WINK news.  On Monday night she was at the Dollar General when 2 men barged into the store with guns.

"That's when I heard voices saying get down on the floor, get down on the floor now, and immediately my mind said, that's robbery."

The grandmother says her first thought was to protect her grand kids.

"I grabbed my grand kids, threw them on the floor, then I fell on top of them to shield them." Nothing, she says, is more important than their safety. "I shield my children and just told them don't move. Shhhhh, it's going to be alright."

She says one of the suspects stood over her and demanded she give him everything she had. Minutes later, the men took off.

"I said God got our back, don't worry.  We were covered in that store, I know we were.'
