COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -Naples police are investigating an accident involving a pedestrian at U.S. 41 and Granada Boulevard. Officials tell WINK News a teenage girl was crossing the street with friends, walking eastbound on Granada when she was hit by a car. The teenager was flown by helicopter to Lee Memorial Hospital as a trauma alert, but officials with Naples Fire tell WINK News she was alert.
Traffic in the area was closed at U.S. 41 and Granada while officials investigated the crash. The driver of the car stayed on scene and spoke with investigators.
The extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.
