FORT MYERS, Fla. - Monday some of Southwest Florida's bravest will attempt to eat a feast of ribs in a tag team competition to benefit Pink Heals Southwest Florida Chapter.

Members of the City of Fort Myers Fire Department and South Trail Fire Department will see if they have what it takes, as they try to eat: a full slab of ribs, corn, applesauce, roll and a root beer float.

10% of Monday evenings food sales will be donated to Pink Heals, helping women and children battling cancer and raising awareness for all types of cancer.

Texas Roadhouse will also donate a portion of proceeds to two local fire fighters, Bill Damewood of the City of Fort Myers Fire Department and Danielle DiBenedetto of South Trail Fire Department, both of whom are battling cancer.

The rib eating challenge is set to take place around 3:00 p.m. at the Texas Roadhouse at 8021 Dani Drive in Fort Myers.
