BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- A landscaping boom truck took out power lines on Bonita Beach Rd. this morning. Several traffic lights were out and parts of the road were closed for hours.

The driver of the truck was cited for careless driving and leaving the scene of accident with unoccupied property damage.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, one turn lane of Bonita Beach Rd. remains closed, but is minimally affecting traffic.

FPL said two poles were knocked down.

A Comcast fiber line was also cut, so some customers in the Bonita area are without Internet. Comcast expects service to be restored today.

Thirteen customers were still without power as of 4:15 p.m. FPL believes power will be restored before 6:00 p.m.
