FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla.- Three people were transported to a local hospital after they were thrown off jet skis on Fort Myers Beach today, according to the Florida Wildlife Commission.

Beach-goers said it appeared two men and one woman may have suffered neck and arm injuries.

According to the vendor who rented the skis, two couples were riding two machines. They didn't collide, but may have hit a wave, or lost control of their machines, and were tossed off.

The extent of injuries is unknown.
