LEE COUNTY, Fla.- It was a very exciting morning for one family at Southwest Florida International Airport as their military hero returned home from deployment.

The Patriot Guard and Major Yolanda Sangiovanni's family greeted her with open arms. This was the first time the whole family, which includes all nine siblings, were together in four years.

Major Sangiovanni walked off the plane to her family who was waiting for her. She's returning from a four-year deployment to Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea and, most recently, Kuwait. She's been active duty in the Army for 22 years, and her close-knit family from Cape Coral says it feels good to be back in each other's arms.

"I have butterflies in my stomach. After a year-long deployment, it feels wonderful to see all my family and friends here welcoming me home. Southwest Florida, thank you for all the love and support over the past year for myself and my family," said Major Sangiovanni.

Major Sangiovanni said she is looking forward to spending time with family, and wants to hit the beach and enjoy her favorite ice cream from Publix.
