CAPE CORAL, Fla.- The Cape Coral Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a pair of armed robbery suspects.

Yesterday evening at around 8:20 p.m., police responded to the Michael's, located at 527 SW Pine Island Rd.

A Michael's employee stated she was gathering shopping carts in the parking lot when a black or dark blue 4-door sedan pulled up near her and stopped. A man between 20-35 years of age exited the passenger side of the vehicle and approached the victim.

The man told the victim that she had to take him inside and give her all the money they had in the store. He reportedly raised a black, short barreled, semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim hit her radio communications button and advised the other sales associates to contact police. The man then ran to the vehicle, entered the passenger side, and the vehicle drove away.

The victim stated that the man had a distinctive mole on his cheek. She advised he was approximately 5'10" tall, wearing dark pants and a black hooded sweatshirt. She added that he had a short, shaved haircut. The victim did not get a look at the driver. Nothing was taken.
