CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Sunday is the official start of hurricane season and that has The Home Depot of Cape Coral making sure you're ready and all your hurricane supplies are up to date.
They'll host a hurricane preparedness workshop on Saturday, May 31st from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The workshop also coincides with the first day of the 2014 hurricane preparedness tax holiday. Allowing you to buy certain hurricane preparedness supplies tax free through June 8th.
You'll be able to ask questions of preparedness experts and first responders as well as stock up on any hurricane supplies and materials you may need.
Lee County Emergency Management, The American Red Cross, Cape Coral Fire Department, ans several mitigation vendors will also be on hand at the workshop.
The Home Depot, hopes this workshop not only helps prepare our community but be one of the best prepared communities throughout hurricane season.
