LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Florida Highway Patrol troopers are still monitoring roads after a brush fire along I-75 created smoky conditions for drivers.
The so-called Junebug Fire has burned through 719 acres. Roads were closed along I-75 yesterday as crews worked to contain the flames. They say it is now 75 percent contained.
According to FHP, no more road closures are expected.
They believe lightning sparked the brush fire.
The Horse Trail Fire has charred about 200 acres. That fire burned near mile marker 97 and is now fully contained.
Crews are still there monitoring hot spots.
