FORT MYERS, Fla.- Fort Myers Police have cited the driver of a car that crashed through a church on Easter Sunday.
Marie Masson was ticketed for careless driving. She drove into the Second Haitian Baptist Church, off Central Avenue, injuring 18 people back on April 20th. Investigators say at the time of the crash, Masson said her brakes had failed, but after investigating further, a certified mechanic found the brakes were working properly.
Masson will have to appear in court on a civil citation because of some of the churchgoers were seriously injured.
