COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Multiple agencies are battling fires along I-75 from mile marker 80 to 101. The Florida Highway Patrol has been intermittently closing lanes of Alligator Alley, as crews work to extinguish the brush fires.
FHP, Florida Forest Service, and the Golden Gate, North Naples, and East Naples fire departments have all responded.
According to the North Naples Fire Department, no homes are in danger.
The cause of all of the fires is still unknown, but the Florida Forest Service says the 200-acre fire is now 100 percent contained.
The agencies are urging residents to use extra precautions while barbequeing during the height of fire season.
