LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying a man who broke into a local business, then left roughly a half hour later with more than $4,400 in tools loaded up in a white Kia Soul.

According to detectives, the suspect drove past Currier Roofing, 5802 Corporation Circle, around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. After casing the business for a few minutes, he drove to the back of the building, leaving his car in the middle of the parking lot.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the man opening his trunk and grabbing a yellow or green safety vest, at which point he slid underneath the fence. Once inside the lot, he wore the vest, to give an appearance as if he was employed there, so as not to arise any suspicion.

Over the next half hour, he went through five trucks belonging to the roofing company, removing numerous expensive tools from each of the vehicles. After loading the stolen goods into the car, the suspect could be seen driving off in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male, over 6’0” tall, with a stocky build.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of this suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
