FORT MYERS, Fla. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for one man connected to two overnight robberies.

The first happened shortly after 1:00 a.m. at a 7-11 on Beau Drive in North Fort Myers. Deputies say a man covered his face with a mask, walked in with a handgun, jumped the counter and demanded money.

Just a three and half hours later, deputies say the same man walked into the 7-11 on Cypress and McGregor and again robbed the clerk at gunpoint. This time, however, he wasn't wearing his mask, and deputies were able to get this picture of him before he took off. Deputies then focused their search on this area.

Neighbors said they think the suspect lives in their neighborhood, but they were too scared to talk on camera. They said they've seen him walking the streets before.

Detectives describe the suspect as a white male approximately 5 foot 5 inches tall and 120-130 pounds.

If you recognize the suspect or know anything about this morning's armed robberies, call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 477-1000.  Or, to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000, call Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
