MIAMI (AP) - Republicans and Democrats are coming together in Miami to talk about American engagement around the globe.
Some of the top leaders in both political parties will debate foreign policy and its connection to Florida's economy at an event at the Four Seasons in Miami on Monday.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the Democratic National Committee, and Al Cardenas, chairman of the American Conservative Union, are among the scheduled participants.
Amid recent foreign conflicts, Democrats and Republicans in Washington are debating whether the country should be more or less engaged around the world. The issue is a potent one for Florida.
The discussion is being hosted by the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.
