MIAMI (AP) - A new tunnel to the Port of Miami is nearly ready to open.
Gov. Rick Scott is set to attend an opening ceremony for the tunnel Monday morning. The project took four years and more than $900 million to complete. It will open to the public at a later date.
Before the tunnel was built, the only way in was through Port Boulevard. Port and county officials said that caused heavy traffic.
