FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - Two people are dead and another is in the hospital after a disturbance on Fort Myers Beach that happened just before 8:30 a.m.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office is describing it as a "disturbance turned violent." Deputies say this incident centered around a boat docked at Salty Sam's Marina, off Main Street. Two people were found dead on a boat.
Deputies will not confirm that gunfire caused the deaths.
Salty Sam's is still open for business, and LCSO says the community is not in danger.
The Coast Guard is assisting with the investigation.
