COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Collier County deputies said a winning goal set a Miami soccer player over the edge. Watch closely in the highlighted area, you can see that player wearing number seven, headbutt a referee in green once, then twice. Then seconds later, take a swing at him. That's when a major scuffle breaks out with players and fans rushing over.

Deputies said the attacker is 38 year old Alain Garcia Perez. The whole thing unfolded during an event league game at a sports complex in Golden Gate. All new tonight, WINK News getting an exclusive look at the bruised ref, Sergio Pomajambo, in this photo.

"It had never happened to him before."

Using his daughter as a translator, Pomajambo tells only WINK News, he's refereed soccer for the last ten years. At this particular game in March, there were other families, even children, who saw the whole thing.

"It should be an example for other players to see that's not something to do."

Perez was arrested Tuesday and is now facing a battery charge.

"He's calm more now, and he just hope he gets what he deserves for what he did."

Pomajambo tells me he still thinks about that game and continues to be haunted by it.

"He's starting to forget about it."
