ESTERO, Fla.- After a long fight, people in Estero will finally get to vote on whether they want their community to become an incorporated village.

Governor Rick Scott just signed a bill, authorizing a vote on November 4th. Supporters believe the population and needs of the community merit a local government.

If the vote is "yes,"  the Village of Estero would form at the end of this year, with elections for village councilmembers, to be held in the early months of 2015.
