PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla.- Charlotte County detectives need help in identifying a man who attempted to pass a counterfeit bill at a Walgreen's earlier this month.

On May 3 at about 8:45 p.m., a man tried to pay for merchandise with a $20 bill at Walgreen's located at 1930 Kings Highway. The clerk recognized that the bill was counterfeit and retained custody of the bill. The man used another $20 bill that was true currency to complete the transaction.
