CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral Police arrested six suspects following a three-month investigation, targeting a high drug activity area in South Cape Coral.

The Cape Coral Police Department identified the Miramar Street corridor as an area plagued with crack cocaine sales and usage. As a proactive approach to the problem, police aggressively pursued those that were selling/delivering crack cocaine and/or any other illicit narcotics in that vicinity.

The following people were arrested:

-Willie Tyler, 31- for three counts Sale of Cocaine (one count within 1000’ feet of a church)/three counts Possession of Cocaine/one count Trafficking an Opium Derivative (30 Dilaudid pills, 6 grams)/one count of Resisting w/o Violence.

-Jovan Darnell Merricks, 28 - two counts Sale Of Cocaine/two counts Sale Of Heroin/two counts Possession of Cocaine/two counts Possession of Heroin/one count Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell/one count Possession of Heroin with Intent to Sell/one count of Child Neglect/one count of Battery on an Officer.

-Michael Moss, 50– two counts Sale of Cocaine/two counts Possession of Cocaine.

-Jennifer Berthel, 31– one count Sale of Cocaine/one count Possession of Cocaine/one count Child Neglect.

-Ryan McArthur, 36– one count Sale of Cocaine/one count Possession of Cocaine/one count Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell.

-Brownel Samuel Flanders, 40 – one count Sale of Cocaine/one count Possession of Cocaine/one count Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell/one count Out of County Warrant (Collier County – Felony State Probation for Aggravated Battery).

Two additional subjects are each pending arrest for one count Sale Of Cocaine and one count Possession of Cocaine.
